a little about myself
Hey there! My name is Emily Hurst. I grew up in upstate NY with my 10 siblings. I’ve always been a bit of a tomboy growing up but found out that I really love to sew. Since finding that out, my mom and siblings (my mom mostly lol) would always give me sewing projects that they wanted mended or made for them.
After getting married and moving to KY I thought of this great idea to start a little side business of sewing. Mainly potholders but with a couple other items for variety. Well just think, if all you did was the same thing all the time you might get bored even if it’s something you love to do. 🙂
My goal is to make high quality products that will last for years and look amazing as well!

Fun Fact About Why i chose the business name i did
I love the country! I lived in NY City for a couple of years when I was real young and didn’t like it at all. The city life was never meant for me. I’ve also lived most of my life in the country and I love it! I’m a country girl at heart. As far as the Em goes. Growing up my most popular nicknames has been Em. So why not Em’s Country Stitchin’.
